Fish Fry Tournament

Aragorn once said, "Legolas! What do your elf-eyes see?" to which Legolas responded, "A bright future for VT Burn".

We had our first fall tournament this past weekend hosted by James Madison University. Many different schools came to this tournament including: VT, VCU, JMU, Radford, and Delaware. Many of the teams split their roster to make two teams (X and Y) since this would be a try out tournament for many of the rookies.

VT Burn split into X (Led by Rhys and Christian) and Y (Led by Joe N). Team X consisted of mostly rookies and the best looking veterans on Burn. On the other hand, team Y had a veteran heavy roster and a small handful of rookies.

Saturday: Team X lost their first and only game against UVA X but won their next three games (beating UVA X the second time), finishing 3-1 for the day. Team Y won all four games but they still can't dunk.

Sunday: Team X beat a combined XY Delaware and finished 3-0 for the day. Team Y won all three games. Both teams ended 13-1 for the weekend.

Notes:

-6 courageous Burn players had a taste of the JMU social life.

-All the rookies killed it this weekend.

-RIP Drew's foot. Shout out to his mom for accepting the position of designing our future jerseys.

-A lot of friendly heckling between VT, VCU, UVA, and JMU.
